The members of our team complement each other perfectly. Each member has gathered a wealth of experience in senior management and in the venture capital environment over the years.

Dr. Martin Kröner

Martin Kröner was co-founder and CEO of agnion Energy Inc., a manufacturer of distributed power generation systems for converting wood-based biomass into electrical power and natural gas. He developed the business from its establishment into a leading company in the field, performing several rounds of financing with well-known investors such as Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers, Wellington Partners and Waste Management.

Before his involvement with agnion, Martin Kröner worked for Linde AG, the global leader in technical gases and one of the most profitable plant engineering companies. Amongst other projects, Martin Kröner was also part of the team that developed a new type of plant to produce hydrogen from biomass. Prior to working for Linde, Martin Kröner built up Thermotec Engineering Services, a spin-off from the Technische Universität München.

Martin Kröner is a mechanical engineer with a PhD in Thermodynamics and Combustion Research from the Technische Universität München. Inventions during his time in industry resulted in ten international patent applications.

Martin Kröner represents MVP in the Advisory Boards of Electrochaea, Kebony and Luxexcel. He was also a member of the Advisory Board of sonnen.
